Cirkus Žebřík has risen as a citizen company which wants to create theatre for children and street art theatre. It wants to bring new ideas by using neither traditional nor creative puupets and work with circus elements, clownery, pantomime...etc.
Cirkus Žebřík is searching possibilities how to mix up all the theatre genres and techniques and create interesting performance.

There are hand puppets and setup influenced by Italian baroque theatre and puppet theatre is combined with living theatre.
Music (diatonic accordeon, accordeon, saxophone) is also life as same as all our performances.
Dances on high stilts
Very effective stilt dances neither as a part of processin with short dance shows with acrobatic elements nor as a self show on some place.
Site specific theatre
We will make alive a place of your castle, court, park, factory etc., in a theatre or art way. The performances will be created for special place, it could be created for order a nd a number of performers could be agreed ( it could be jugglers, stilt dancers, pantomimes). It´s necessary to let us have a look on the space.

ABOUT FAIRLESS ONDRA
Puppet fairy tale played with traditional historical puppet theatre from 1942. It’s a fairy tale about jolly good fellow Ondra who hasn’t been afraid in his life. And how he has started to be afraid and what has happened to him before he could married beautiful Magdalena.

ABOUT A LITTLE PUMPERNICKEL COTTAGE
Traditional story about little brother and sister John and Mary, whom their father takes home new mother and she lets them go away. On their journey through the wood they discover a little cottage made of pumpernickel and there lives an angry old woman... How do they get rid of her...and what about the little pixie in this story?
The fairy-tale is played by traditional family puppet theatre from the year 1942 and is accompanied by life music on banjo and guitarre.
